We are all here to have fun playing D&D! This is a community effort. Should you have any questions, please reach out to our volunteer organizers by email, or speak with them in person at Gen Con.

Every participant – players, administrators, DMs, etc. – are expected to respect all other participants and remember that everybody is welcome here. This includes, but is not limited to, treating each other with respect regarding ethnicity or cultural background, gender or sexual orientation, religion/beliefs, or lack thereof, or other physical or ideological features. Everyone is entitled to this respect; use any name or pronoun identified and asked for by players, their characters, and non-player characters.
If you are asked to stop any behavior, you are expected to do so immediately.
As we invite players of all ages to the event, be mindful of keeping content on a level where everybody can feel safe. No explicit sexual descriptions or hateful language is allowed. Avoid foul language and be respectful toward others at the table.
We love it when new players come to play! Remember, we have all been new at some point, either to D&D in general or to Adventurers League (AL) specifically. Be mindful and helpful toward new players throughout the games. If you are new, do not hesitate to ask for help prior to game time, either via email or in person. Adventurers League and new player resources are available on this website. DMs are better able to support new players if you let them know in advance that you are new to D&D and/or AL.
If an issue arises, feel free to speak with your DM at the table if the problem is related to table-play.
You are also empowered to reach out directly to one of our volunteer organizers in person, via email. Reports will be taken seriously, and you will be treated with complete anonymity. If necessary, a minimum of information may be shared, with your consent, between staff or attendees that need to be involved in any actions taken, including but not limited to Gen Con staff. Any information shared for this purpose will be kept confidential and to a minimum, and your identity will not be revealed without your permission.
You can also contact Gen Con staff directly for assistance if our volunteer organizers do not respond promptly, or your issue is not related to the event and is instead related to an experience with the venue itself.
The DM runs their table and may tell a player to leave the table following a warning. You or the DM can escalate the issue to organizers, in which case a warning may be issued. A warning from the organizers is a one-time notice of a violation of policy, after which the organizers may tell a player not to return for future games with this group.
If ANY incident threatens the safety of a participant, or is deemed severe by organizers or store staff, then the offending party will be required to leave the table and the store or event. Depending on the nature and severity of the offense, individuals may be banned from future events and in some cases the store itself.
